Jesus said: "To the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of mine, even the least of them, you did it to me" (Matthew 25:40 NASB). We believe that a church ministry should not just talk about Christian faith, but we should live our faith.

Our Annual Car show

Cedar Hill Baptist Church Car Show

Sherry Pastorius headed up our First Annual car show at Cedar Hill Baptist Church on October 8, 2011, and it was a huge success! We had over 30 cars on display, lots of great food, and a whole lot of fun. 2016 was the best year yet with over 40 cars on display, and we are looking for Trophy Sponsors for 2017. If you are interested in sponsoring a trophy or two, please contact Pastor Tom Beeman, and he will assist you.

We would like to thank those who contributed door prizes for our event. Thanks, everyone! You are wonderful.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church school supply drive FlyerCarson Elementary School Supply Drive

For several years now, Cedar Hill Baptist Church has teamed up with the Aetna Insurance Company in collecting school supplies for Carson Elementary School on East Main in Newark. There are many children, from preschool through fifth grade, whose parents do not have the money to purchase needed school supplies for their children. Our Cedar Hill members collected over sixteen large boxes of school supplies that were delivered in August of 2011. We will continue to collect these much needed school supplies throughout the year and make another delivery in January 2012. If you would like to be an important part of this project by either purchasing school supplies or donating a check or cash, please contact the church at 740-345-4542 or call Pastor Tom at 740-919-4612.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church Toy Drive FlyerToy Drive

It won't be long before we'll be digging out the Christmas decortions again. Whew! It seems like we just got them all put away.
Every year our members at Cedar Hill Baptist Church start collecting toys for the kids in our neighborhood who won't have much of a Christmas unless we give them a helping hand. We ask that only new toys be donated in the original box, however, we have accepted very gently used teddy bears in the past. We all know children like to have a friend to cuddle up to at nap or bedtime.Toys can be dropped off at the church on Wednesday evenings between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. or Sunday morning between 9:00 A.M. and noon. We do accept donations of cash or check, and our elves at the church will be happy to do the shopping for you. Simply note "Cedar Hill Baptist Church Toy Drive" on the bottom of your check. The children will thank you, and we thank you.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church Christmas Bazaar FlyerAnnual Christmas Bazaar

This is a great event, and we have it every year. This year, our Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. We have a room full of cookies and candy. We have homemade fudge, and this year, Pastor Tom will be bringing a plate of "Grandpa Beeman's" closely guarded recipe for "Peanut Butter" fudge. It is to die for, but you will need to come early to get a piece of it. We will have buckeyes, chocolate chip, peanut butter cookies....too numerous to name - but great tasting cookies and candy. We usually have some sandwiches (sloppy Joes, etc.) to serve so come hungry. We also have a room full of homemade Christmas crafts, and Bob Maine's wooden horse/sleigh sets, cars & trucks are always a popular seller. So, start this Christmas season off right by stopping by Cedar Hill Baptist Church for some tasty food and treats.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church Homeless FlyerAnnual Homeless Drive

Most of us have a solid roof over our head, but our homeless are not so fortunate. There are many reasons why people are homeless. Sometimes, it is the trauma of war that leaves men with no mental ability to deal with what they saw or did in war. Sometimes, it is the result of very poor decisions concerning the use of drugs or alcohol. But, make no mistake about it, all of it amounts to sickness, and all of us can help by keeping them warm and fed during the cold, winter months. At Cedar Hill Baptist Church, we have been collecting new clothing for these men and women for three years. You can help by purchasing some new winter clothing and dropping items off at the church. We made a delivery to the Salvation Army around November 15th, but you can start now putting some new items away for next year. Cash and check donations are accepted, and we have a couple of ladies in our church who are willing and able to do the shopping for you.
